Snack Shack Hot Lunch - On Hold

Students can enjoy healthy, hot meals from the Snack Shack Monday through Friday beginning in early September through the end of May. Molly Surgalski, our Snack Shack Manager, and a team of CTEHSC parent volunteers prepare the lunches daily.  Our healthy school lunch policy ensures that each meal is well balanced and meets the nutritional standards required for good health. 

This program would not be possible without our incredible parent volunteers.   As a volunteer your child will have pass the line privileges on the day that you volunteer!

You can purchase a Meal card or a lunch card online through the CTEHSC.You can also purchase the cards at the Snack Shack window during lunch hours.

  • 5-Day Meal card ($25.00) - Students receive an entrée, fruit bowl, salad side dish and a beverage.
  • A La Carte lunch card ($20.00) - Students can purchase individual items from the menu. Entrees are $3, side dishes are $1, and drinks are $1. 

 

POLICY

There is an odd time when a student forgets their card, or thinks that their parents have purchased cards online for them and they come to us for lunch. In such a case, we will never refuse a student lunch, but we will follow up with parents to receive payment for lunches given in "good faith" to students. We can only do this in limited situations. Please be clear with your student as to whether they are/are not supposed to receive Snack Shack hot lunch.

  • We are no longer handing out lunch cards ahead of payment in "good faith" to students. It is too complicated a process for the Snack Shack team to manage tracking and billing.
  • Students can come to Snack Shack with $20/$25 cash and buy a lunch card at the Snack Shack window to purchase a card on the spot.
  • Students can come to Snack Shack with proof of purchase of a card, such as a Paypal receipt, and receive a lunch card on the day.
